Traditional heat pumps have been heating and cooling homes for decades. In cooling mode they work by moving the hot air out of your house and bringing cooler air in.
In heat mode, they reverse the process, moving cooler air out of your house and drawing heat from outside in. Believe it or not, even when it feels quite cold outside, there is still good deal of heat just waiting to be pumped into your home.
Moving heat more than generating it allows heat pumps to provide comfort in a significantly more energy efficient way. A heat pump can transfer 300 percent more energy than it consumes. By contrast, most high-efficiency gas furnaces are in the 90% range.
Why haven’t you heard more about heat pumps? That’s because you see them a lot less north of the Mason-Dixon line. They don’t work efficiently and are very costly in subfreezing temperatures when they are having to literally create more heat. That is where your traditional gas furnace works best. That is what makes a dual fuel system perfect for our winter climate. When the temperatures start to drop, the heat pump shuts off and tells your furnace to take over. You’ll never feel a difference, but your wallet definitely will.
As leaders in dual-fuel heat pump technology, Lennox has several options that won’t cost much more than a traditional A/C system. Depending on your fuel costs, that initial investment can easily pay for itself in five years or less.
The crowning jewel in home comfort and energy efficiency is the Lennox SunSource Solar Energy System.

Excess electricity produced by your PV cells can be fed back to the utility company’s grid through a process referred to as net-metering. When you are using electricity from the utility company’s grid, your meter runs forward. The less electricity you are using, the slower it spins. With a net-metering and a compatible meter you reverse the process. That means your meter can actually spin backwards lowerihttp://www.nebocomfort.com/home-comfort-innovations/ng your power bills and saving you money!
