Dual Fuel Comfort Systems
are the perfect combination of efficiency and comfort with two energy sources to ensure your getting the most out of your system for the lowest cost possible.
How does it accomplish this miraculous feat? By using what works best in electrical and gas powered systems, your Dual Fuel Comfort System will monitor outside and inside conditions, seamlessly moving between energy sources, to ensure your home stays comfortable and your power bills stay low.
Traditional heat pumps have been heating and cooling homes for decades. In cooling mode they work by moving the hot air out of your house and bringing cooler air in.
In heat mode, they reverse the process, moving cooler air out of your house and drawing heat from outside in. Believe it or not, even when it feels quite cold outside, there is still good deal of heat just waiting to be pumped into your home.
Moving heat more than generating it allows heat pumps to provide comfort in a significantly more energy efficient way. A heat pump can transfer 300 percent more energy than it consumes. By contrast, most high-efficiency gas furnaces are in the 90% range.
Why haven’t you heard more about heat pumps? That’s because you see them a lot less north of the Mason-Dixon line. They don’t work efficiently and are very costly in subfreezing temperatures when they are having to literally create more heat. That is where your traditional gas furnace works best. That is what makes a dual fuel system perfect for our winter climate. When the temperatures start to drop, the heat pump shuts off and tells your furnace to take over. You’ll never feel a difference, but your wallet definitely will.
As leaders in dual-fuel heat pump technology, Lennox has several options that won’t cost much more than a traditional A/C system. Depending on your fuel costs, that initial investment can easily pay for itself in five years or less.
The crowning jewel in home comfort and energy efficiency is the Lennox SunSource Solar Energy System.
The list of benefits to solar is long and which benefits will best serve may vary depending on your home, your location and your lifestyle. The sun has been around for billions of years and it will be for billions more, if you’re looking for free, clean renewable power to help reduce your utility costs, nothing beats it. Federal and state tax credits for renewable-energy systems add another benefit for solar.
As an investment in your home’s value, a Lennox SunSource solar system brings an instant return. Surveys conducted by the US Department of Housing have shown that home values rise an average of $20 for every $1 reduction in annual utility bills.
Lennox’s SunSource solar-energy system uses solar modules, made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, to harvest the sun’s energy and convert it into electricity that can be used in your home to power your lights, appliances and another electrical devices. At times when the PV cells aren’t producing electricity, such as nighttime, electricity is used from the utility company.
Excess electricity produced by your PV cells can be fed back to the utility company’s grid through a process referred to as net-metering. When you are using electricity from the utility company’s grid, your meter runs forward. The less electricity you are using, the slower it spins. With a net-metering and a compatible meter you reverse the process. That means your meter can actually spin backwards lowerihttp://www.nebocomfort.com/home-comfort-innovations/ng your power bills and saving you money!
Along with the immediate savings in your power bills, government and utility company rebate incentives bring additional value to your system and many customers their initial investment paid off in a few short years.
